Shuttlecock performance can vary significantly depending on the grade and intended use of the product. When comparing CODEALPHA with another brand, it is important to make sure you are comparing shuttlecocks designed for a similar level of play.
Most badminton brands offer a range of shuttlecocks, from entry-level training models to premium tournament-grade options. A training shuttlecock is designed to balance durability, performance, and price, while a higher-grade shuttlecock uses more carefully selected materials and stricter quality control to provide greater consistency in flight, feel, and durability.
For a fair comparison, we recommend comparing shuttlecocks within a similar grade, price range, and intended use rather than comparing an entry-level training shuttlecock with a premium competition model.
-
Higher-grade feather shuttlecocks are made with carefully selected, higher-quality feathers and undergo stricter quality control during production. This helps provide more consistent speed, flight, feel, and durability.
The use of premium materials and stricter manufacturing standards increases production costs, but also delivers the level of consistency and performance expected by advanced and competitive players.

Choosing the right shuttlecock depends on your playing level and intended use.
Aeroweave & Practice are suitable for regular practice and casual club nights.
L05 & L08 are ideal for training sessions and club nights.
L08, Tourney No.1 & White Gold are suitable for competitive play and match days.
Tourney No.1 & White Gold are designed for competitions where consistent flight and performance are essential.
-
The number of shuttlecocks you need depends on the players' skill levels, the number of courts in use, and the duration of play.
For example, if your club has a mix of players ranging from D Grade to A Grade, with 5 courts running for 2 hours, we recommend:
L05: Approximately 4-5 tubes per club night.
L08: Approximately 3-4 tubes per club night.
These are general estimates. Actual shuttlecock usage may vary depending on playing intensity, players' skill levels, and how frequently shuttlecocks need to be replaced.

Each CODEALPHA shuttlecock is designed for a different level of play and purpose. Our range covers everything from practice and training to club nights, match play, and competitions.
By offering different options, players can choose a shuttlecock that suits their skill level, playing needs, and budget, while getting the right balance of durability, flight performance, and value.
